Asthal Ashram, which is the important 'pitha' of Nimbark Sampradaya is the pivot (centre point) of religious and cultural education in Mewar Sirohi region associated with the Nimbakacharya tradition. It is connected with education for about 105 years. Its credit goes to former religious preceptor Mahant Shri Madhav das ji and Mahant Mewar Mandaleshwar shri Gangadasji. By the inspiration of Lord Dwarikadhish, the present head of the institute, Mewar Maha Mandleshwar Mahant shri Murali Manohar Sharan Shastri got the message, "Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum".
