Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Government Girls Degree College

The aim of education is the knowledge, not of facts, but of values. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Govt. Girls Degree College was established to fulfil this aim. It was established in the international women year to augment higher education among women. It was named after the great Indian leader Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose who was a champion of women? rights. The foundation stone of the college was laid by Sri Atal Behari Bajpai on 14th April 1997. There are many private colleges in the city but this was the first Government College. The college building was formally inaugurated on Oct.3, 1997 by Sri Atal Behari Bajpai. The college building is constructed over the land area of 10886 sq.m. by Lucknow Development Authority.
