The Shikshana Prasaraka Mandali, founded in 1888, is one of the pioneer Educational Societies in the State of Maharashtra. It has almost 127 years of contribution to the development of quality education by establishing Institutions in various places like Pune, Mumbai, Solapur, Chiplun, Nagothane, Bangaluru etc. and imparting education from Kindergarten to Post-graduate level and through Management Institutes and Research Centres. Prin.N.G.Naralkar Institute of Career Development and Research, Pune was started by the S.P.Mandali in 1986 to commemorate the memory of Late Prin.N.G. alias Nanasaheb Naralkar, an educationist of great foresight and repute. Nanasaheb Naralkar is a name to conjure with. The Naralkar Institute is a standing symbol of the spread of ?Learning Culture? through the modern medium of management education. The aim and the purpose of the Institute is to create a brand of new-generation students who will be marked by an uncommon degree of competence and commitment. Value driven management is the need of the hour in the context of contemporary times. The Institute lays stress on fulfilling that need. The Naralkar Institute is affiliated to the University of Pune. It conducts certain Post-graduate and P.G. Diploma Programmes in Management & Computer Science approved by University of Pune and Government of Maharashtra. It provides facilities which have varied and diverse facets. Besides imparting instructions in time-honoured subjects, it inculcates into its students a craving for research. The Institute has Audio-visual Class rooms & well-equipped Computer Labs. with latest & licensed software with sufficient UPS backup. Library of the Institute possesses more than 14,500 books, along with 65 periodicals & journals. Institute has qualified, dedicated faculty, experienced & visiting faculty which apart from being experts in their own fields, understands the needs of the students. Our students have consistently appeared in the University merit lists. They have not only created excellent track record in academics but acquired high positions in national and multinational companies in India and abroad. The Institute is also recognized as a Research Centre for Ph.D. in Management Science by University of Pune. The center is having eight approved Research Guides in the area of Marketing, Finance, Human resources, General Management, Economics. Thirty students have been enrolled at this Centre for their research work and out of them 20 have already completed their doctoral research work and awarded Ph.D. by the University of Pune.
