Municipal Arts and Commerce College

The institution has quite a long history of 51 years with steady and continuous growth despite its certain limitations. Since its inception in 1961, it has been engaged in the task of imparting higher education to the people of Upleta Tehsil and its surrounding area right from first year Graduation level to the final year of the Post Graduation level. It had been the first college at Tehsil in the whole Saurashtra region when it got established. The college has left behind it the glorious past with regard to the quality of education, student strength, quality of teachers, sports activities and the quality students it has given to society, but with the emergence of colleges in the areas nearby, in the concluding phase of the 20th Century, the student strength went on dwindling, with the passage of time, once creating the problem for survival.
