India there is a great deficiency of trained paramedical staff. Lack of trained personal has led to vacancies in different sectors of health department, with at places, appointments of untrained Paramedical; this is illegal especially because one is playing with lives of patients. In pursuit of this objective human welfare "Mother Teresa Education and Welfare Society" Saharanpur, a registered society has resolved to set up college in 2004, known today as Mother Teresa Para Medical college & Hospital, Opposite Vikas Bhawan, Delhi Road, Saharanpur (U.P). This college's aim is to provide trained, qualified, paramedical staff in the field of Para Medical College to support the Medical profession. Mother Teresa Para-Medical college is engaged in providing Diploma in Optometry, Diploma in Physiotherapy, Diploma in Operation Theatre Technician which is recognized by U.P. Government and Affiliated to U.P. State Medical Faculty,Lucknow. Diploma and Registration are awarded by the U.P. State Medical Faculty, Lucknow (U.P). Two batches from all the courses have already passed out from the college and they have found good jobs in various Govt, and private hospitals and some of them are having their own labs and clinics. The founder/Chairman Dr. S.S. Rana is keenly interested in providing social, educational and medical services to the society in state and national cadre. The other members of the society also have dynamic spirit and are making untiring efforts under the guidance of the chairman, vice chairman towards achieving the said task.
