Morigaon College

Morigaon College, the premier educational institution in Morigaon District is actively engaged in imparting higher education in the region. The College is situated on a 32 bigha site in District Head Quarter of the District of Morigaon along the Nagaon-Morigaon Road in the eastern part of the town. It is situated at a distance of 70 km from the state capital- Dispur. The nearest railway station is Jagiroad (25 km) and the nearest airport is the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (86 km). Since its inception in 1964, it has been wholeheartedly dedicated to cater to the requirements of the poor and the needy students of the district. For the first two decades following its establishment, the college imparted education in the Arts Stream only. In 1985, the scope of its activity was expanded with the introduction of Science Stream. Further, in 2002, the college introduced several vocational and job-oriented courses like Computer Application, Industrial Fish and Fisheries(IFF) and Functional Hindi.
