Mohamed Sathak Engineering College

'Mohamed Sathak Trust' was established in the year 1973 by five brothers and four brother-in-laws to promote Technical Education and train the students to cope with technological needs of the day. Initially, the Trust was offering scholarships to poor students for their education. In the year 1980, its first institution Mohamed Sathak polytechnic was started and Mohamed Sathak Engineering College was established in the year 1984 as the very first Self-financing College in the state of Tamil Nadu. It was started with 3 programmes and now we are running successfully 10 Under Graduate and 10 Post Graduate Programmes. All Programmes are approved by AICTE and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The Marine Engineering programme is approved by Director General of shipping (DGS) and Architecture Programme is approved by Council of Architecture (COA), New Delhi. The Trust is the promoter of more than 18 educational institutions at Kilakarai and Chennai offering Programmes in the fields of Technological, Technical, Vocational, Medical, Paramedical, Arts and Science, Teacher Training Education, School Education and other Higher Education. All the institution are successfully functioning under the able guidance of our Chairman Alhaj. S.M. Mohamed Yousuf with the support of his family members. Mohamed Sathak Engineering College has lot of Academic Credentials and Special Features which are to be worth mentioned here. The college offers B.E. Aeronautical Engg., Civil Engg., Computer Science Engg., Electrical and Electronincs Engg., Electronics and Communication Engg., Marine Engg., Mechanical Engg., Chemical Engg., Information Technology, B.Arch at UG level and M.E. Power Systems, Applied Electronics, Communication Engineering at ME / MTech level, Computer Science Engg, Structural Engg, Thermal Engg, M.Tech.Chemical Engg, MBA(Regular & Part Time) and MCA.
