Mar Thoma Teachers Training College

The College started functioning on 1st June 1995 in the TMAM Hall at Mar Thoma centre, Ranni with a dedication service led by the former Metropolitan His Grace Dr.Alexander Mar Thoma and the Rt.Rev.Dr.Philipose Mar Chrysostom, the then Suffragan Metropolitan , who is the founder ? Manager. The college was formally inaugurated on Aug 18 , 1995. It was shifted to the new venue at Edakulam on 11th September 1997. In order to satisfy the requirements of NCTE a spacious two- storeyed building was constructed and declared open by Rt.Rev.Dr.Euyakim Mar Coorilos Episcopa on 16th June 2000.The construction of the second floor of this building was completed in September 2006 and it was inaugurated by the Manager of the college ,The Rt.Rev.Geevarghese Mar Athanasius , Diocesan Episcopa , after a dedication service held on 26/09/2006. Now the college building complex has the appearance of a beautiful ? Nalukettu? of the past, which encloses a spacious ?Nadumuttam? . The flora and lush growth of vegetation on the surrounding hill slopes provide a noise-free , pollution ? free , serene atmosphere like the ?Asrams? or ?Gurukulams? of the past.
