Mahendra Narayan Choudhury Balika Mahavidyalaya, Nalbari is a premier institution of higher education for girls in one of the traditionally enlightened and sensitive districts of Assam. It was established in 1979 solely with the liberal charity of a great philanthropist of there locality, Late Mahendra Narayan Choudhury. It has an ideal location in the very heart of the town. Girls from different parts of the North East have been studying here. The college has made rapid strides in the field of female education in a short span of time. It is owing to commitment and dedication of the teaching and non-teaching staff and the perseverance of the students. The successive Governing bodies have strived hard to lead the college to new heights under the able leadership of Sri Munindra Narayan Choudhury, the founder Principal. The College was assessed on various parameters and' was accredited B++ (institutional score 82.75%) by National Assessment.and Accreditation Council, Bangalore.
