Mahatma Gandhi Ayurved College, Hospital and Research Centre

Mahatma Gandhi Ayurved College Hospital and Research centre is established in 2007 by the vision and mission of Hon?ble Chancellor Shri Dattaji Meghe under the ambit of Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences which was granted status of a Deemed University in year 2005 by the UGC. It is progressing since then under the guidance of its founder Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ved Prakash Mishra. Present Vice Chancellor Dr. Dilip Gode and Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. V.K. Deshpande have profound support to achieve the goals of the institute. It is the first self funded University of this regionand it was accredited with an ?A? grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) which is an autonomous body set up by the UGC. This college runs UG course with 60 intake capacity, PG course in 8 specialties with 38 seats along with Ph.D., M. Phil. and fellowship courses. The hospital is well equipped with 180 beds and established Panchkarma centre. Dattatray Ayurved Rasshala is FDA approved facility with endorsement for manufacturing of 7 doses forms. Herbal garden is spread in 9 Acres having 326 species of medicinal plants and poly-house. The University is focusing on research and the pointers towards its growing esteem in this regard are the B.C. Roy Award for Research which was conferred on the University by Her Excellency Shrimati Pratibha Patil, the President of India on the occasion of the ?Teacher?s Day?.
