Mahatma College of Education

The idea of establishing a B.Ed college at Nileshwar was born on the existing regional imbalance prevailing more particularly in the number of B.Ed colleges in Kasaragod district and the hardship faced by the aspiring students and their parents seeking admission for B.Ed courses. Similarly there is a marked imbalance in the case of Arts and Science colleges and schools in this district. This awareness brought together the likeminded and socially committed individuals of the Padmasaliya community of Kasaragod district with the noble objective of promoting and establishing Schools and Colleges to cater the educational needs of this backward region. The Mahathma Educational Society was thus formed at Nileshwar with these ideals by the fag end of 2004. ?The Mahatma College of Education?, an offshoot of our society, is our premier venture to attain our cherished objective of establishing institutions of repute and standard.
