Maharana Pratap Government College

Maharana Pratap Govt. College, Amb came into being on 18th, June 1997 when the Himachal Pradesh Government took over the erstwhile National College, Amb, established in 1970. The College is situated in the center of the Amb town on the National Highway , 32 Kms away from Una, the District head-quarters, on the way to the famous shrine of “the goddess-Chintpurni”. Maharana Pratap Govt. College, Amb offers under-graduate courses in Humanities, Science (Med. & Non-Medical) and Commerce.Post-graduate courses, in English and Economics were introduced in the academic session 2002-03 but at present Post-Graduation is available in the subject of English only. The college has newly constructed Administrative Block , Library, Science Block and Arts Block.
