Lord Mahavira Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital

In commemoration of the Lord Mahavir's 25th Nirvana Centenary, the College & Hospital were started with the blessings of Lord Mahavira Foundation (Regd.) Punjab, in the year 1976. Unlike all other institutions representing one or the other wing of Jain Community, it has the glaring feature of the united efforts of all the Four Sects and it represents them under one banner. Initially the institution was started in Smt. Satyavati Oswal Dharamshala, old Session Chowk, Ludhiana, built by Late Seth Sh. Lachman Dass Oswal in the sacred memory of his wife. Soon after, the construction of a big project was taked up on 21000 sq. yard of own land, on the Rajpura Road, Dr. Hahnemann Chowk, at a short distance from the new Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana. Now a portion of the college building has been completed at the cost of near Rs. 3.0 Crore and the college has 25 bedded indoor Hospital along with O.P.D.'s.
