In order to bridge the gap between the ever increasing demands of Ayurved practitioners in rural areas and wide spread chronic diseases and diseases and problems, Prakash Shikshan Prasarak Mandal established the Loknete Rajarambapu Patil Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital ,P.G. Institute & Research Center, at Islampur in 2002, with intake of 60 students per year. Islampur town is the central place from the cities like Kolhapur (40 kms), Karad (26 kms) and District Head quarter Sangli (40 kms). Attached with mega high-way(N.H.4). All the 3 cities having Domestic Air port.
