Kongunadu College of Education

Kongunadu College of Education was established by the Kongunadu Educational Charitable Trust in December 2007.This College was started with the noble aim of imparting Quality Teacher Education to the rural students who are socially and economically backward in this district. This is the first B.Ed., College started in this district. It is the benevolent management of ???Kongunadu Educational Charitable Trust which takes utmost care in generating Value based Quality Teachers to the society under the dynamic leadership of Dr.PSK. R.Periaswamy., Chairman of this trust. This College is located in a conducive atmosphere near Thalamali Hills at Thottiyam, Trichy District, on the highway of Namakkal to Trichy. Approved by NCTE and Affiliated to Tamilnadu Teachers Education University, Chennai. UGC Expert Committee for Autonomy visited this College on 18th & 19th of October 2012.The College also got the ??? B??? Grade from NAAC on 05 January 2013. To feel proud the College secured the First Rank in Trichy District for the past six years. The College also takes interest in developing the students to get placement opportunities by conducting special coaching classes for TNTET. These coaching classes started from 2nd January 2013. Not only the present students but also the Alumni benefitted from these classes. The students of our institution are imparted not only Education but also training to develop various skills. For this noble cause seminars, Conference and workshops are conducted by inviting skilled persons. The college has dedicated team of teachers and well stacked library, Educational Technology lab, communication lab, computer lab and psychology lab for the upliftement of the students. Transport facility is provided from all the areas. Separate Hostel facility is provided to both Men and Women teacher trainers. Nutritious and hygienic food is provided. The prime mission of the Institution is to promote the features of Education, Discipline, Service mind, Patriotism and Social commitment and create teachers for the future society.
