Keshav Mahavidyalaya

Established in the year 1994 and is wholly funded by Government of NCT, Delhi. It started functioning from a school building in Keshavpuram with just two courses to begin with namely B.Com (H) and B.Sc. (Gen) with Computer Science. Gradually course like B.Sc. (H) Electronics, B.Sc.(Gen) Mathematical Science, PGDCA and B.Sc.(H) Computer Science were added. The new campus of the college at Pitampura (H-4-5 Zone near Sainik Vihar) started functioning from academic session 2006-07and courses like B.Sc.(H) Mathematics, B.Sc.(H) Physics, B.A. (H) Psychology and Bachelor of Business studies were added. Under the able guidance of its founder principal Dr K.P. Chinda and present principal, Dr. Madhu Pruthi, the college, in a very short span of time, has been able to carve out a niche for itself by delivering good results in Delhi University exams. To make students understand the intricacies of what we call complex technology, the college has always made it sure to use latest gadgets and technology. In the current rapidly changing times in terms of expansive information and new emerging technologies, the student now a day's aspire for higher goals. Keeping pace with demands of these times of flux, the college lays emphasis on the enhancement of these qualities by continuously striving towards academic excellence and overall holistic development of an individual. The College has impressive infrastructure, e- enabled lecture halls and air conditioned- well equipped laboratories. An air -conditioned, Seminar hall with LCD Projector, interactive board and Audio Conferencing Public Address System is used to host a variety of events throughout the year. Apart from three Computer laboratories equipped with LANs running on Windows NT/2000 Server and Unix Server, the college also has OHP as well as LCD. We feel proud to announce that the Computer Laboratories are completely networked on a Wi-Fi LAN. The College maintains a well-stocked double storey, spacious library comprising of two large reading rooms and a separate magazine section. The library has more than 15000 books and a rich collection of text and reference materials and encyclopedias of various fields. Large number of dailies, weeklies & periodicals are being subscribed by the library on regular basis. The library also provides reprographic services i.e. Photocopier Service to the users. The college believes that for the all round development of students, it is necessary to involve them in some extracurricular activities. In this direction, the college organizes fresher?s welcome, annual cultural festival, and computer festival, annual day and annual farewell every year. The college also has a Computer Society (BLITZ) and Rotaract club. The college organizes annual blood donation camps with Rotaract club. The College has a state of the art auditorium with a seating capacity of 800 persons. It Is Fully air-conditioned, built with best acoustics, high end light and sound facilities. It has been a centre of all the cultural and academic activities of the college where all the staff and students together enjoy and share their views. It also fosters in the college students by giving them a platform to come up and show their talents. The college provides ample facilities and infrastructure for participation in sports both indoor and outdoor. A special room for playing table tennis, carrom and chess has been set up. The campus also has badminton, lawn tennis, basketball courts and huge ground for playing cricket, football etc. The college boasts of a spacious and comfortable Girls' Hostel with a capacity of 75 Students on twin sharing basis.
