KAMLA LOHTIA SANATAN DHARAM COLLEGE, is a premier post-graduate co-educational institute of the city, affiliated to Punjab University, Chandigarh, earlier Accredited (B+ +) by NAAC, Bengaluru. This institute has travelled a journey from a double faculty to multi-faculty post-graduate institution. The wings of its growth and prosperity has spread and citizens of Ludhiana are benefiitted not only academically but spiritually and intellectually as well. The college though unaided, a manifestation of quest for knowledge was founded by Shree Sanatan Dharam Sabha (Regd.) Ludhiana in 1992 in the golden jubilee year or Quit India Movement and centenary year of Swami Vivekananda?s address to World Parliament of Religions at Chicago. Over the years, this institute has grown from a small building with just two courses to a sprawling campus with multi-faculty status comprising more than 16 different courses. Late Sh.Sudershan Kumar Aggarwal, the then President of Sh.Sanatan Dharam Sabha (Regd.) along with his friends laid the foundation of this college to propagate the values of Sanatan Dharam. The college which was established in the year 1992 with 134 students can take a legitimate pride with over 1700 students at present. It has Under-Graduate, Post Graduate, Post Graduate Diploma and Certificate Courses. As per the requirements of the society, the college introduced job-oriented subjects such as Information Technology, Computer Application, functional English, Bank Management and Foriegn Trade and Practices. The strength of the students has increased due to professional input given by the college. The college is continuously producing good academic results of the students.
