Kakatiya Institute of Management Studies, Karimnagar was established in 1993 with a mission to professionally educate and train the future professionals and to make them competitively fit in the competitive world. Kakatiya Institute of Management Studies has started initially with MBA Course with an annual intake of 30. Later on Kakatiya Institute of Management Studies has been increased to 60 and further enhanced to 120 during 2004-2005. Soon after starting MBA Course, the College also started MCA Course during 1994-1995 with an annual intake of 30 and later on it has been increased to 60 during the year 2001-2002. The College has acquired a good reputation among student community for MBA and MCA Courses during all these years.
