Thiru. J.K.K.Natarajah, the founder of these educational institutions is a noted industrialist, educationalist and philanthropist. In 1952, he was pivotal in full financial support to start an elementary school at Kumarapalayam village and, in 1965 established a Girls Higher Secondary School, followed by J.K.K.Nattaraja Nursery and Primary School in the year 1969, which gradually, was then blossomed into a secondary and higher secondary school. He was a social reformer and strived for the upliftment of women by setting up an Arts and Science College for women in the year 1974 J.K.K.Natarajah founded the J.K.K.Rangammal Charitable Trust in the year 1969, which manages an umbrella of educational institutions now and has fast become a pioneering leader in educating the masses, in diverse fields. One among them is J.K.K.Nattaraja College of Pharmacy and Research Institute, Kumarapalayam, established in the year 1985. Later, with the similar vision he established J.K.K.Nattaraja Dental College in the year 1987. J.K.K.Nattaraja College of Nursing and Research, J.K.K.Nattaraja College of Engineering and Technology, J.K.K.Nattaraja Play School were then established subsequently by the Managing Trustee Smt. N. SENDAMARAAI, an extra conceptual personality with an exemplary vision and guidance in developing these institutions. The institutions are efficiently managed by the Director, Mr. Ommsharravana, who has a vision in turning this into a world-class educational centre., The whole campus is located in a picturesque surrounding, facing the National Highway-544, in the outskirts of Kumarapalayam. Kumarapalayam is an industrial town, located on the border of Namakkal, Salem and Erode districts of Tamilnadu, flanked by River Cauvery on one side and National Highway-544 which connects Chennai via Salem with Cochin and Trivandrum on the other side. The institution is located 2 kms (East) away from Kumarapalayam along the NH-544.
