Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Degree College, Barabanki was established in 1964 in the memory of Late Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. The institution has affiliation with Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Awadh University, Faizabad at degree and post graduate level. The institution has been the pioneer in the field of hearing and research in higher education and has mobilized generations for academic advancements. A national level award in national social services was awarded to institution for its admirable and innovative activities for community linkage and adult education programmes by the member of the government of India.
