In 1960 Jagdish Saran Hindu (Post Graduate) College was established with the inspiration of late Sahu Jagdish Saran Ji and his team members such as late Ram Kumar Vaidya, late R.S. Sarda, late Babu Sita Ram, late Abhinandan Kumar Jain etc. with seven subjects and 70 students P.G. classes started in 1965 in English, Economics and Political Science and the college got P.G. Status. In 1972 U.G. Classes were sanctioned by the University in Sanskrit, Urdu and Education as M.J.P. Rohilkhand University was established in 1975. The college was listed with it and continued to march ahead. Dr. K.K. Goel and his team members made efforts to start U.G. classes in Commerce and B.Com classes started in 1981. New rooms and labs were constructed under the supervision of Sri Radha Krishna Tandon. Sri Ramesh Kumar Agarwal and late Sri Dhirendra Nath Gupta. The first floor rooms and Vivekanand Block were constructed with the support of U.G.C. After 1992 the college developed its image under the supervision of late Sri A.K. Jain and Sri Sudhir Sharda. P.G. classes started functioning in 1995-1996 in Sociology and Commerce. A new chapter was added to the growth of the college by Sri Shriram Ji Gupta, a philanthropist and a follower of Sahu Sahib and Science faculty was established with his donation of ten lac rupees (1996-97). Two vocational courses (T.T.M. & A.S.P.S.M.) have been introduced in the college under the co-ordinator ship of Dr. J.P. Gupta and Dr. Sudhansh Sharma with the support of the UGC after 1999 under the patronage of Dr. Hari Om Agarwal (President) and Sri Ramesh Kumar Agarwal (Secretary). Sudarshan Sabha Kaksh (Seminar hall) was built with the donation of one lac rupees by Sri Sunil Kumar Agarwal and his family members donated one lack rupees (2001) for the construction of Jyoti-Kripa Gymnasium. It is also unique in itself as most of the students enjoy various sports here. Another piece of land (42 Bighas) was brought in 2001 for Sriram Science faculty, sports and games. Diploma classes were introduced in four courses and affiliation was granted to run M.Sc. Classes (Chemistry & Physics) in 2002-2003. After 3rd March 2002 Sri Sumat Kumar Jain (President), Sri Jai Gopal Maheshwari (Secretary) and their team worked enthusiastically for the progress of the college faculties and B.Ed. faculty was established.
