ISPAT Autonomous College, Rourkela was established in 1978 one of the premier undergraduate college is affiliated to Sambalpur University. The college is accredited by NAAC with B grade. The college became a fully fledged degree college in 1980 having all the streams viz. Arts, Science & Commerce. Apart from the pass courses, honors courses in English, History, Political Science, Economics, Hindi, Oriya, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology and Commerce are available. The Govt. of Orissa has given permission for opening of BBA courses under self financing and UGC has also approved opening of skill-oriented course (Retail Management). Campus of ISPAT Autonomous College - The college is situated amidst verdant greenery on the banks of river Koel; it provides an ambience to education.
