Institute of Judicial Training and Research

The Institute of Judicial Training & Research, U.P. was established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in pursuance of a decision taken at All India Conference of the Chief Justices of High Courts in August/September, 1985 in New Delhi. This landmark conference which was also attended by the Chief Ministers and the Law Ministers of the States, mooted the idea of providing institutional induction and in-service training to the judges of the subordinate courts in the country. The initiative of the state government after being readily agreed to by the Hon?ble High Court of Judicature at Allahabad, saw the Institute coming into the existence and becoming functional on 25th April, 1987 with Hon'ble Mr. Justice K.N. Goyal as its first honorary Director. Sri Mahboob Ali, H.J.S., one of the officer of District Judge Cadre is its present Director.
