Patel Group of Institutions was born in the spring of 2006 with the motto of Faith, Commitment & Empowerment. The PGI was founded by Mr. R. Sampath Kumar, in memory of his late father Shri. A. Ramaiah, who was the Patel or headman of the village of Kariyammana Agrahara, Bangalore. In an effort to contribute his mite to the society that nourished and nurtured him to succeed in life, Mr. R Sampath Kumar established Patel Ramaiah Group of Institutions that currently has the following centres of learning : Patel Public School, Patel Pre-University College, Patel Institute of Science of Management, Federal College of Nursing, Holy Mother Institute of Nursing, Patel Law College, Distance & Correspondence Course.
