Himalayan Institute of Computer Science is one of the most prestigious institutes in the field of computer education in the region which covers Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarkhand, and Union Territory of Chandigarh. It was established in the year 2007. It is a self financing institute established and promoted by Maa Saraswati Educational Trust. The course is approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, New Delhi, and H.P. Government and is affiliated to H.P.University, Shimla & H.P. Technical University, Hamirpur The institute is located in the most picturesque and serene environment at Kala Amb on, Yamuna Nagar highway on 25 acres sprawling campus having a well established library, a well equipped computer lab, well ventilated class rooms, a beautiful canteen, lecture halls, seminar hall, separate boys and girls hostel, indoor-outdoor games facility, bus transportation facility, etc. The institute uses latest technological tools such as OHP, LCD projectors etc. for imparting education to the students.
