Hamirpur College of Education

Hamirpur College of Education named after the king Hamir who was the founder Of Hamirpur Town. This is the first College of Education in HP which is run by a core professional group comprising retired army officers and eminent academicians. Hamirpur College of Education came into existence by the efforts of Sudhar Sabha (Society) Choula Kalan Hamirpur and the HP Govt., HP University and NCTE, NRC- jaipur. The college started functioning from 3rd September 2003. The college is located on the up-coming National Highway at a distance of 1/2KM from the Hamirpur Bus stand. It is well connected from all sides within a walk able distance of 12=15 minutes. Situated in the bowl of nature having lush green ambience, the college is housed in a four storyed building with its campus spread over an area of 5000sq.mts. The towering strength of this institution is its building which is equipped with adequate number of spacious and well ventilated classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, library, Assembly Hall, Common room, Staff room, and a dedicated administrative block. Academically the college excels both in the human resources and material resources. NET qualified staff is spear-heading the educational front in the college which is adequately backed up by a well blocked spacious library enriched with a large number of books besides a number of news-paper.
