Government Medical College, Kota is situated at Rangbari Road, about 14 kilometers away from Kota junction railway station and about 10 kilometers away from Rajasthan road ways bus stand.Before March 1992, Except Kota division, every division of Rajasthan was having a Medical College. The long awaited need of Medical College in Kota division was fulfilled by the state government by making decision for that purpose on 10.02.1992. The Govt. Medical College Kota came in the existence in March 1992 and Dr. RL Ajmera, Professor Physiology joined on 7th March 1992 as the first principal.
