Government Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital

Government Homoeopathic Medical College, Bangalore was established in September 1986. It was started as a sequel to the prolonged agitation by the students of homeopathy for a government college in Bangalore. Initially it was housed in a rented building. It has its own campus on Dr. Siddaiah Puranik Road, Basaveshwarnagar. It has a campus consisting of college and 100 bed hospital building that is coming up on either side of the road. The college is affiliated to conduct BHMS Course by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka. It has admission capacity of 40 students, who are admitted through the Common Entrance Test conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority. The college has been inspected by the Central Council of Homoeopathy to start Postgraduate courses in the subjects of Homoeopathic Materia Medica, Homoeopathic Philosophy, Repertory, Practice of Medicine and Paediatrics. Approval is awaited from the Department of AYUSH, Government of India to start the courses.
