Located at one of the most strategic locations on Gurgaon-Mehraulli road in the heart of IT hub of India, Govt. College, Sector-14, Gurgaon is one of the most prestigious and premiere institutions of Haryana. This is incidentally not only the largest Girls College of the state but also the biggest college where 142 posts of teachers are sanctioned, which is by far the maximum in the state.Not only in Haryana, Government College, Sector-14, Gurgaon is one of the most reputed college in Northern India especially NCR region. It has been declared as ?College of Excellence by the Haryana Government. Government College, Sector-14, Gurgaon has a unique distinction that it?s foundation was laid down by the First Prime Minister of India Pt. JawaharLal Nehru in 1959. The College was worthy blessed by the benign presence of the First President of India Dr. Rajender Prasad on its first convocation. The first women Prime Minister of India, the Iron Lady Smt. Indira Gandhi also graced this college by her visit. Among other significant personalities that visited this college was GianiZail Singh, fifth President of India.
