Gopeshwar College

Established in 1956, Gopeshwar College, Hathwa, a constituent unit of Jai Prakash University, Chapra, is situated in a lush green environment friendly campus on the land donated by the erstwhile Maharani Durgeshwari Devi, wife of Maharaja Gopeshwar Prasad Sahi of Hathwa Raj, the 104th Maharaja of Hathwa. Gopeshwar College has rich laboratories of Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Zoology and Geography. The departments of Botany and Zoology are running in a newly built building. The college has a separate block of Social Sciences for the departments of Economics and Political Science.
