Gopabandhu Women?s College(GWC), Athgarh was established in 1993. This is a private, affiliated college. The college is recognized under U/S 2 (f) 1993 U/S 12 (b). The aim of the college is to provide students with the knowledge and skills they need in this era of information and teaching. Well-qualified and experienced lecturers help the students in accomplishing their aim. The college offers course in the discipline of Arts. The college is well equipped with all modern facilities. A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to the students of the college. The college is affiliated to Utkal University, established in 1943. The University is the seventeenth oldest University in India. Its present campus at Vani Vihar, Bhubaneswar is located on a sprawling 399.9 Acre area in the heart of Bhubaneswar. There are at present twenty-seven Post-Graduate Departments located in the University Campus for Post-Graduate studies and research.
