Girraj Government College

Girraj Govt. College was started in 1956 as a private college with Pre-University and Under Graduate Courses with an objective of providing quality education to the needy students of Nizamabad region. Many philanthropists including Sri Girrajmalji Aggarwal gave a helping hand through donations to start this institution in a humble way. It was taken over by State Government in 1959 and since then has been gradual but steady development. It moved into the present premises in 1967-68 after State Govt. constructed a huge building in about 29.6 acres of campus. The college is affiliated to Osmania University and has successfully made a distinct mark as a premier institution of higher learning
