GHG Harprakash College for Women

G.H.G. Harparkash College of Education is situated in natural surroundings of village Sidhwan Khurd on Ludhiana -Ferozepur road at a distance of 30 km from Ludhiana. This college is well known center of rural women education and has become an icon of women education. This group of institutes was initiated by a great visionary Bhai Sahib Bhai Narain Singh Ji in 1909 i.e. 103 years ago. He himself, his wife Mata Ram Kaur Ji and his daughter Bibi Harparkash Kaur Ji devoted their whole lives for the sake of women education. An educational trust under the name of Sri Guru Hargobind Ujjagar Hari Trust, Sidhwan Khurd was established in 1934 and Bhai Sahib Bhai Narain Singh Ji became first president of the trust. Bibi Harparkash Kaur became president of the trust in 1950 after death of her parents.
