Gharda Institute of Technology, Ratnagiri was established by the Gharda Foundation with Dr. K.H Gharda as the founder of the group. It is located on NH-17 (Mumbai-Goa) highway. It aims at imparting quality education with the help of good infrastructure, modern equipments, advanced laboratories, experienced faculty and workshop by collaborating foreign universities. Its main objective is to promote developments of residents of Rural India by dealing with issues like health, literacy etc. It is recognized by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi It is affiliated to University of Mumbai
