Fatima College of Education

Fatima College of Education was established and managed by the Warangal Diocese Educational Society (WDES) in the year 1988 under the president ship of Msgr.Thumma Bala, then Bishop of Warangal Diocese. The present president of WDES is Msgr. Udumala Bala, Bishop of Warangal Diocese. Fatima College of education is a Catholic Christian Minority Institution. The institution is Recognised by NCTE, SRC, Bangalore and affiliated to Kakatiya University, recognized and conducted by the University Grants Commission, Government of India. The college offers one-year teacher training for the graduates. Motto of the college is "Service, Charity and Unity". The college has committed and qualified staff. The mode of admission to this course is purely on merit basis in the Education Common Entrance Tests. During the last twenty five years more than 4000 student teachers were trained in different methods and subjects. Many of the students have proved themselves to be unique candidates in their performance. In the recent period, the institution, apart from the regular academic programs, has undertaken a few socially useful programs like service activities, adult literacy and blood donation camps. Most of the teacher trainees are actively involved in this. The students are exposed to various co-curricular activities like debates seminars workshops and orientation programs under the guidance of experts in the field. The Fatima College of Education received public appreciation from time to time. The precise reason behind this is the amount of service of the college in the field of education. Our trainees go to High Schools, which are located in and around Hanamkonda area for teaching practice purpose. They help the regular staff of the schools to their teaching profession. They not only teach subject matter, but moral values, moral education and guide the hundreds of students in their career selection and motivate them for brighter future.
