Dr.PSIMS & RF was established in the year 2002 and Dental Institution in the year 2005 for extending health care facilities to the rural needy public under PURA (Providing Urban facilities in the Rural Area) and Medical / Dental Education in Andhra Pradesh under the sponsorship of the Siddhartha Academy of General & Technical Education, Vijayawada.The Siddhartha Academy, which was established in the year 1975 has emerged as a benchmark of excellence in running educational institutions in Krishna District in and around Vijayawada in particular and in Andhra Pradesh in general. With the objective of preparing the coming generations to face the challenges of future in a better way, the Siddhartha Academy instituted learning programmes from school level to Post Graduate studies and Professional colleges.They have established 18 such institutions so far.It?s motto, ?Atma Deepobhava? (Be a light unto thy own self) reflects Siddhartha Academy?s commitment to brighten the future of humanity. This Institution has been named ?Dr. Pinnamaneni Siddhartha Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Foundation? out of gratitude for the noble gesture of the family members of Late Dr. Pinnamaneni Venkateswara Rao, Founder President of Siddhartha Academy for donating 31.32 acres of prime land on the national highway.Now the medical, dental and nursing colleges are situated in an area of 40 acres.
