Don Bosco College, Tura, is an educational institution of the Catholic Church, belonging to the global Don Bosco Society and managed by the Salesians of the Don Bosco, North East India, with headquarters in Guwahati, Assam. The Salesian Provincial Superior is the President of the Governing Body of the College. The College was established in 1987 with the intention of bringing higher education within the reach of the people of Garo Hills. The College has distinguished itself as one of the premier institutions of higher education in Meghalaya. Today with over a hundred teaching and non-teaching staff, the College caters to about 3000 students. Don Bosco College is a Registered Society and is permanently affiliated to North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) for Degree Courses in Arts, Science and Commerce. It is also affiliated to the Meghalaya Board of School Education for Higher Secondary courses in Arts, Science and Commerce. The College is recognized by UGC. It has been awarded ?B? Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
