Devta Post Graduate College

Devta(P.G.)College,Morna, Bijnor is affiliated to the M.J.P. ROHILKHAND UNIVERSITY, BAREILLY. The college was established in 2000 in rural area named Morna village. This is situated at Noorpur- Dhampur road. This is at 7 Km. distance from Noorpur and the distance of the college from Dhampur is 13 Km. The college is a self finance institute managed by Devta Uchch Shiksha Prasar Samiti. The Management committee members belong to various walks of life and the founder of the college is Babu Balcharan Singh. This is the first self finance institute of the District Bijnor. The college initially began imparting teaching in Arts Faculty with the subjects- Hindi, English, Economics, Sociology, Sanskrit and Geography in 2000 and Education in 2012.The department of Commerce established in 2012. The departments of Drawing & Painting and Home Science were also established in 2004. B.Sc. classes were started in 2007 with Bio group (Zoology, Botany, Chemistry) and Maths group (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry) completed the subjects at graduation level in Science Faculty and Commerce (B.Com-2012). Since the college is developing in both, the building and the faculty. At present the college has a huge building and many faculties, M.A. in Geography and Home Science (2008) and M.A. in English and Drawing & Painting (2009) and M.A. Hindi and M.A. Sociology (2012) and M.Sc.-2015 (Mathematics and Chemistry) upgraded face of the college. In a decade the college has made a great progress and yet this college is on the path of progress. The college has a very rich library with reading hall and connect to the internet facility. It has a large collection of books on various subjects. There is internet facility also available in all departments and Administrative Block. With all the above mentioned, the college feels that the academic excellence has no limits and so the college continues to strive to reach higher and higher heights
