Defence College of Educations were established according to the provisions of NPE 2000 to provide academic and resource support at the grass-roots level for the success of the various strategies and programmes being undertaken in the areas of elementary and adult educations. Defence College of Educations are a part of a larger strategy to achieve national goals in the areas of elementary and adult education and function according to the needs of individual states and districts. To become the center of academic excellence in the area of teacher education by providing quality teacher education Programmes at par with the national and international standards to the rural youth inculcating in them our culture, heritage and values along with complete education.
