DAV College

D.A.V. College, Pundri was started in April 1969 under the banner of DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi. Pundri is an ancient town, older than Mahabharta and situated on Karnal-Kaithal road. Ch. Bansi Lal, the then Chief Minister, Haryana laid down the foundation stone of this college. Late Sh. B.R. Goyal, Ex-P.S. to State Health Minister, Govt. of India, New Delhi was the moving spirit behind the idea of its starting and growth. Late Ch. Ishwar Singh, Ex-Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Sh. L.P. Aggarwal, a national reputed eye surgeon and Late Sh. Tulsi Ram Singhal rendered all assistance for its growth. The college is catering to the needs of rural area and weaker section in the field of higher education in two faculties i.e. in Humanities and Commerce.. The college possesses 8 acres of land in the heart of the town. It has sufficient class rooms, Computer laboratory, Language Lab, spacious playgrounds, beautiful canteen, splendid grassy lawns and other facilities required for the college. The college is affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra for Arts and Commerce faculties.
