Chitrada College, Orissa was established in 1980. It was started in the premises and buildings of Jawahar Vidyapitha, Chitrada and transfered to its own campus in 1993. This college is affiliated to the University Grants Commission under 2(f) and 12(b). It is affiliated with North Orissa University.The college is catering to the needs of the people in general and tribals in particular to get higher education.The college has come into the grant in aid fold from 1986. It was being managed by a Governing Body as per the Management of Aided colleges Rule of the State Government. It is located 27 km towards East from District head quarters Baripada, 5 km from Morada,75 Km from Kharagpur junction railway station and 245 km from state capital Bhubaneswar.
