Carmel College for Women

Carmel College for Women was established in 1964. The Carmel College for Women is a Christian college, was established in 1964 to fulfill the long felt need for an institute for higher learning for women in Goa. The college is permanently affiliated to Goa University in the faculties of Arts, Science, and Commerce. It is managed by the Sisters of the Congregation of the Apostolic Carmel, a Roman Catholic Congregation. The college is a NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) accredited institution. It has been awarded B++ grade by the NAAC, which is an autonomous body appointed by the University Grants Commission. The college provides courses of studies in streams of Arts, Science and Commerce. The vocational stream has three sections? commercial garment designing and making, office secretary ship/stenography and computer techniques.
