BNV College of Teacher Education

The BNV College of Teacher Education is located at Thiruvallam, renowned for the historic Sree Parasurama Temple that regally reigns with all its grandeur, on the banks of the tranquil Karamana River. Although the locale has recently been incorporated into the Corporation area limit, this part of the city proudly maintains the serene ambience of a hamlet, thanks to the pastoral aura that prevails all around. The college offers M.Ed course that is affiliated to the Kerala University and approved by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE). The affiliation number is F.SRO/NCTE/M.Ed/2007-2008/14574. B.Ed courses in six optional subjects namely English, Malayalam, Physical Science, Social Science, Mathematics and Commerce are also offered. The course is affiliated to the Kerala University and approved by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE). The total intake capacity is 100. Every effort has been painstakingly undertaken to ensure that the norms specified by the NCTE are fulfilled All necessary infrastructure facilities, including a sprawling library with an array of the latest books and journals, a language laboratory with state of the art technology, well furnished Science and Work Experience laboratories, Educational Technology Lab and Computer lab are also set up. There are 7 laboratories, 6 classrooms. The library holds a collection of over 6000 books. Hostel facility is available.
