B.I.T Institute of Technology has been established by Sri Venkateswara Educational Society under the leadership of Sri. P Chandra Mohan in the year 2001 at Hindupur and is approved by AICTE, Affiliated to JNTUA, Accredited by NBA and an ISO 9001 certified institute. The college has a sprawling campus of 26 acres. B.I.T offering B. Tech, M. Tech, MBA and Diploma level programmes. The objective of the institution is to provide technical education to rural mass. the college organizes several technical seminars, workshops, faculty development programmes for students and staff to develop their knowledge at par with the emerging technology in their specialized areas.
