Bhola Nath College

Bholanath College, Dhubri, is one of the premier Institutions of Higher Learning in Western Assam. It was with the initiative of LATE ZAHIRUL HOQUE, the then district magistrate (Deputy Commissioner) of the erstwhile Goalpara District accompanied by the pioneering and untiring efforts of some dedicated and learned personalities of Dhubri, specially of Lt. R.K.Bose backed by the financial assistance of ZAMINDER FAMILY of the Lakhipur estate that the college came to be formally inaugurated on the 16th August, 1946. Formerly it was affiliated to the Calcutta University
