Bhogawati College

The College was established by Late. Dadasaheb Patil Kouloukar, Late. Govindrao Kalikate and their followers. They were great social workers in region, educationists and visionary leaders of their times. They recognized the value of education in human life and in nation?s development. They firmly believed that only education can empower rural youths particularly women. For providing higher education to the student in hilly and rural area and for converting rural youth into independent and well cultured citizens through higher education the college was established. In early fifties many families were hesitant to send their young daughters to co-educational colleges. The college started with an enrolment of 71 students in June, 1971. The number increased and crossed 5000 in 2013.
