The Besant Educational and cultural Trust was registered in 1979. The members of this Trust hail from highly respectable and educated families. This Trust was established to enable the students of improvised families in villages to gain a fruitful education and till date this, has been its primary objectives. The trust is currently running a matriculation school in the name of Besant L.V.R. Matriculation Higher Secondary school and one Aided school in Chennai. One Matriculation school and Aided school at Sivakasi and a Matriculation school at Kovilpatti are also being run successfully.
