Baikunthi Devi Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Agra, Established In 1967 With The Motto Of "Tamaso Ma Jyotirgamaya", Is Catering Meaningfully To The Educational Needs Of The Women Of Agra Region. The College Owes Its Existence To The Efforts Of Late. Shri Dataram Parolia, An Industrialist Of Kolkata, Sri Kisan Lal Ji Gupta Businessman Of Agra, Sri Raghuveer Prasad Gupta Business Man Agra, Sri Laxmi Narrayan Gupta, Business Man Agra, And Shri Maveer Prasad Doneria Business Man Agra. Started With Only 33 Students The College Is Now A Full Fledged Women?S College With About 3500 Regular Students And 1000 Students In Self-Financing Courses On Its Roll And Seven Faculties Of Arts, Science, Fine Arts, Education , Commerce, Bba, Ma (Home Science, Economics) . Besides U.G. Classes There Are Four P.G. Departments In The Faculty Of Arts, Two In The Faculty Of Fine Arts And B.Ed. And M.Ed. In The Faculty Of Education. About 65 Students Are Enrolled For Ph.D. Degree. The College Has Been A Recipient Of State Merit Grant For 15 Years In Continuation. The Special Achievement Of The College Has Been To Take Full Advantage Of U.G.C. Grants In Aid And Full Contribution Of Managing Committee.
