Auxilium College of Arts and Science for Women

Auxilium College of Arts and Science was a vision comes to reality of the Salesian sisters of Chennai Province. It is situated in a remotest corner of Pudukkottai District, a village named Regunathapuram surrounded by number of villages. Young people of these villages are their treasure. After so much of struggle and sacrifices of the sisters, in the year 2007 Auxilium College received affiliation orders from the University of Bharathidasan, Thiruchirapalli, for five courses and started only with three students admitted to the Department of English. The people of these villages never even dream to have their girl children receive higher education. The lamp lighted up shines brighter and higher and attracts the simple and under privileged young girls of the villages to chase away their ignorance through obtaining higher education. The college aims to provide higher education to the women of rural and marginalized villages in and around the vicinity. It has a definitive goal to impart holistic higher education to the first generation girls to transform them into women of distinguishable standards in this technological era. As sharers in the mission of Don Bosco, we strive to be evangelizers, proclaiming the love of Christ through education to empower and transform the life of the locality.
