Ansar Arabic College

Ansar Arabic College Valavannur is situated in Valavannur Village in the Tirur Taluk of the backward dis- trict of Malappuram in Kerala State. The College was es- tablished in the year 1964 by a reformist socio-cultural edu- cational organization called ?Ansarullah Sangham?. Through establishing the College the organization aimed at uplifting the highly backward population of the area by imparting qual- ity higher education to its young generation. On its road to its progress the College got affiliated to the University of Calicut in the year 1970 and became a Government Aided College in the year 1979. Minority Status was awarded to the College by the National Commission for minority edu- cational institutions, New Delhi. The College offers bachelors degree course B.A. (Afzalul Ulama) in Arabic language and literature with an important componet of communicative and functional En- glish. The College is now run by ?Ansar Arabic College Com- mittee? under the parent organization ?Ansarullah Sangham?. Through its untiring work the College has become a bea- con light of progress to the people of Malappuram District in general and Tirur Taluk in particular. The college is proud of its enlightened alumni which spread over not only in dif- ferent state of India but also in various countries across the world in positions of pride and dignity
